A special Pre-Chanukah program was hosted jointly between Chabad of Melbourne CBD and Caulfield Shul last week at Australia’s Capital Hill Parliament House with live music by The Chevera Choir and members of parliament as guest of honor.
Australia last week saw a special Pre-Chanukah program run jointly by Chabad of Melbourne CBD and Caulfield Shul in the magnificent boomerang-shaped Parliament House that hosts the meeting place of Australia’s government.
The event included several honored guests from the Australian government, including Minister for Government Services Mr Bill Shorten, Premier Of Victoria Jacinta Allan and Leader Of the State Opposition John Pesutto.
With Chanukah around the corner, Rabbi Daniel Rabin shared timely reflections at the event amongst other speakers who graced the program.
The Chevera Choir sang classical Jewish tunes during intervals between speakers and light kosher refreshments were laid out for both members of parliament and the members of the shul to partake.
