The Achdus Yisroel Shul in Postville, Iowa welcomed a new Torah with great joy and celebration.
The Torah was donated by R’ Gideon Gratsiani, dedicated in memory of his son, Levi Yitzchak Gratsiani AH, and in honor of his whole family.

The Torah was completed by members of the community, and the Torah was then brought to the Gratsiani home for the final letters and hagbah and gelilah.

The Torah was led with great joy with singing and dancing along Highway 18 and through the streets to the Shul for Hakafos. This was followed by a Seudas Mitzvah and Farbrengen.

Children enjoyed rides and entertainment throughout the day, and music was by musician Fitche Benshimon.

Guests included Rabbi Tzvi Wilhelm of Netanya, Israel, Rabbi Hertz and Rabbi Kramer, and family and friends from overseas.
