A grand Chanukah celebration for the Bolshaya Bronya community in Russia’s capital, led by Rabbi Itche Kogan, celebrated the headways made in the restoration of the town of Lubavitch, with the building of guest homes, a mikvah, a shul and more.

The annual event gathers the members of the community, along with the students of the Machon Ran Yeshiva in Moscow. A full catered meal was served, and children were treated to a full kids program.

The program began with the kindling of the large menorah, modeled after the menorah of the Bais Hamikdosh. It then continued with addresses from Rabbi Kogan, Rabbi Yehuda Segev Friedman, rosh yeshiva of Machon Ran, and Rabbi Michoel Mishulovin.

Special video presentations were shown, including one highlighting the progress made in the restoration of the town of Lubavitch. The video showed the newly built guest homes, shul and mikvah, as well as the ongoing projects, such as the rebuilding of the large zal of the original Tomchei Tmimim yeshiva.

Live music, dancing, and a fire show by Eliyahu Ezagui, had the participants celebrating until late at night.
