A large crowd from the varied communities of Pomona, New York, gathered on Motzei Shabbos for a Hakhel event.
The event, organized by Rabbi Mendel Levin, brought together hundreds of men and women from all walks of Yiddishkeit simply to unite and hear words of Torah, in the spirit of the Hakhel year.
Local rabbonim from Lubavitcher shuls sat on the dias alongside rabbonim from other communities. Emceeing the event was Rabbi Berri Nash.
Headlining the Hakhel was renowned speaker Rabbi YY Jacobson, alongside Rabbi Ari Levitan, rov of K’hal Tefillah of Pomona. Both speakers spoke of the need to unite and the special opportunity we have in this year, a shnas hakhel.
