Rabbi Avrohom Stone, senior rabbinic field representative at the OU, enjoyed Pesach at Chabad of Ft. Myers after his flight was diverted from Miami where his family awaited him.

Rabbi Avrohom Stone Rabbi at Congregation Bnei Torah West Orange NJ and Senior Rabbinic Field Representative for OU was on his way to Miami on American Airlines flight 1692 when the flight got diverted to Fort Myers FL due to weather conditions in Miami.

Rabbi Stone reached out to Shliach Rabbi Mendy Kasowicz of his hometown West Orange, New Jersey who put him in touch with Rabbis Yitzchok and Meir Simcha Minkowicz of Chabad Lubavitch of Southwest Florida who arranged first-class accommodations, sedorim, and day meals with all Pesach provisions.

Rabbi Stone who holds a high position in Kashrus with the OU came into the kitchen to inspect the food that we were preparing for the Seder and was very impressed with the high level of Kashrus and the cleanliness of all the produce, especially the lettuce.

Rabbi Stone shared many Divrei Torah with the community and had in-depth discussions on the Daf Yomi he was learning with Rabbi Minkowicz.

Rabbi Stone thanked Rabbi Minkowicz and Chabad for hosting him for a beautiful Pesach.
