Pallets of Matzah Continue Decades-Long Tradition

In the 1950s, the Rebbe arranged for Merkos to take out ads for Shmura Matzah in Chicago papers. 70 years later, the shluchim are busy unloading pallet after pallet of matzah to distribute to local Jews.

In the 1950s the Rebbe arranged that Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch pay to advertising Rabbi Shea Korf‘s Shmurah Matzah Bakery in Chicago newspapers, arranged by shliach Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Hecht.

This week, seven decades later, the project continues, with the staff of Lubavitch Chabad of Illinois unloading pallet after pallet of Shmurah Matzah to be distributed by the shluchim throughout the state and at the great Chicago Yud Aleph Nissan parade.
