On the 6th Night of Chanuka, OYYL large crowd of families celebrated with a wonderful party filled with fun activities for the children, Menorah lighting, prizes, and unexpected entertainment- with the Twin from France.

This year OYYL’s party was also a Chanukas Habyis for their new boys building located in 333 Albany Ave, also known as Binyan Sheleg and a first Menorah lighting. Many visitors entered our building to join the fun celebration. The children recited the 12 Pesukim and received prize tickets.

After a beautiful Minyan for Mincha, everyone joined us outdoors to light our Menorah followed by a circle of dancing with fathers and sons, to share the light and happiness to the whole neighborhood! Following the Menorah lighting, the children spread out to different fun activity booths- making their own edible Menorah, decorating donuts and dreidels, creating their own wax Shamoshim, and even making their own aroma lip balm!

Every child received a $2 dollar bill Chanukah Gelt and had a great time going from one booth to another and creating their own designs and flavors with their parents, spending quality time with their families and enjoying Sushi, fruits, and dessert. The topping of the party was an outstanding performance by one of our OYYL parents, Yonatan’s father, known as the Twin from France! Everyone was amazed by the outstanding unique tricks with balls, bottles, and even fire.

The show ended with a balloon game separately for the boys and then for the girls. The party extended to about 3 hours and everyone left happy, astonished, loaded with prizes, and mostly grateful for our amazing school community that is currently growing. This was one amazing night, long to be remembered and a standard for OYYL future gatherings. Thank you for joining us and helping us spread the light within outwards!
