At the Vision Expo East in Orlando, Florida, one of the largest optometry trade shows in the U.S., one booth stood out from the rest.
US Ophthalmic, owned by Moshe (Gustavo) Lancewicki of Hallandale Beach, Florida, doubled as a hub of Yiddishkeit. During the weekdays, a tefillin stand invites Jewish attendees to put on tefillin, following the Rebbe’s vision for every Yid to be a shliach.
The three-day expo runs over the weekend and includes Shabbos. Not one to miss a good opportunity, Lancewicki displays prominent signs announcing its closure in honor of Shabbos. Many Jewish doctors attending the expo have shared how the beautiful signs featuring the Rebbe’s picture have left a strong impression on them.
“I am sharing this to inspire other frum Yidden to use their businesses as a means to spread Yiddishkeit,” Lancewicki told Anash.org.
