Ahead of Pesach, Rabbi Yirmi Cohen met with Ontario Premier Doug Ford, as well as Jewish members of the legislature.

Rabbi Cohen presented them all with shemura matza and spoke about the lesson from the matza.

Rabbi Cohen encouraged the Premier to take a lesson from the leadership of Moshe Rabeinu who fearlessly took the Jewish people out of Mitzrayim. Rabbi Cohen blessed the Premier to stay strong with faith and in good health.

The Premier said that there is no place for any kind of support for violence or extremism, and vowed against any form of antisemitism in the province. In recent years, the Premier has not just said words but has also put it in action, not tolerating antisemitism and extremism in the Ontario Legislature.
