Even as the Knesset prepared to vote over a contentious bill related to the purposed judicial reform, members took time to join special sessions saluting the Rebbe and the work of Chabad shluchim.

Praise for Chabad came from across the political and social spectrum in Israel, with government ministers and members of the Knesset participating in the special events.

The day began with shluchim joining a committee of their choice. They selected between The Aliyah, Absorption and Diaspora Committee, which held a session on the work of Tzeirei Agudas Chabad, or a session with MK Rabbi Meir Porush, Minister of Jerusalem Affairs and Jewish Tradition, titled ‘Jewish Tradition with a Smile’.

The latter was joined by Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Aharonov, chairman of Tzach and Aguch of Eretz Yisroel, Chabad rabbonim and heads of Chabad mosdos, alongside mayors of cities and government officials. Flanked by a large photo of the Rebbe, they shared their respective experiences and their deep praise for the empire built by the Rebbe.

A central session was held at the Health Committe, spotlighting the work of the ‘Lev Chabad’ organization, which appoints shluchim to hospitals across Eretz Yisroel to aid and assist those who find themselves faced with medical challenges.

Later that day, the main event was held with the participation of prominent government officials, ministers, and Chief Rabbi Dovid Lau.
