On Chof Av, You Can Choose to be Blessed With Abundance

The Chof Menachem Av fundraiser is in full swing and you have the opportunity to merit brochos and yeshuos “up to 500 times that amount!” This is how the legacy of Rabbi Levi Yitzchok, who was moser nefesh to spread Yiddishkeit, continues.

This week, on Chof Av, thousands of Jews around the world will mark the yahrzeit of Rabbi Levi Yitzchok Schneerson the father of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. A tzaddik and mekubal, R’ Levi Yitzchok was moser nefesh to sustain yiddishkeit, while being cruelly persecuted by the communist regime.

Over the years, the Rebbe established mosdos l’ilui nishmaso―in addition to holding an annual fundraiser on his yartzeit. The Rebbe also had his father’s tziyun renovated during the reign of the communists, with great mesirus nefesh. Throughout the year, Jews of all walks of life visit the tziyun in Almaty (formerly known as Alma Ata). People have seen great miracles as a result of their visit to his tziyun.

To commemorate the yartzeit, Chabad Houses in Kazakhstan―together with the central Chabad House located near the tziyun―hold an annual fundraiser to support their work in maintaining and spreading Yiddishkeit among Jewish people in Kazakhstan. “Imagine. Thousands of Jews, who lived under oppression and had to hide their Judaism for decades, are finally able to provide a Jewish education to their children, participate in holiday programs, eat kosher food and maintain a Torah life,” says Rabbi Yeshaya Cohen, head shliach in Kazakhstan.

“Today, every Chassid can accomplish three things with one donation: support Yiddishkeit in Kazakhstan; spread Torah and chesed in that country; memorialize R’ Levi Yitzchok–something which means a lot  to our Rebbe. This is in addition to meriting endless brachos, as the Rebbe himself once promised, ‘to 500 times that amount!’” concludes Rabbi Cohen emotionally.

On the yartzeit itself, the shluchim of Kazakhstan will mention the names of all donors at the holy tziyun for blessings in whatever area is needed.

A raffle will be held for donors with an all inclusive prize of two airline tickets to the tziyun of R’ Levi Yitzchok. Full room and board will be provided.

The brachos are ready and waiting. All you need to do is make the vessel!

To be included in the abundance of brachos, please go to 20av.kz and donate!
