Oholei Torah Preschool remodels and welcomes new and returning students for another exciting year in newly upgraded state-of-the-art classrooms, adding an additional classroom to accommodate the growth of the Crown Heights community.
As the new school year begins, the Oholei Torah Preschool division is thrilled to welcome both new and returning students. Our vibrant nursery program is prepared to embrace a new group of enthusiastic 3-year-olds, while our returning 4-year-olds eagerly anticipate another year of growth, learning, and connection with their beloved morahs. These students are set to embark on a journey filled with Yiddishkeit, warmth, and Chassidishe character development, all nurtured by our experienced and devoted morahs.
Operating two large preschool sites, Oholei Torah proudly serves the broader community at both our East Flatbush location and the main campus at 667 Eastern Parkway. The East Flatbush site, rooted in historical significance, operates in the very building that Rabbi Michoel Teitelbaum maintained with ongoing minyanim and incredible Mesiras Nefesh, ensuring a strong Jewish presence in the area. His commitment continues to bear fruit as young families flock to East Flatbush, drawn by affordable housing and the growing vibrancy of the community.
This year, Oholei Torah is thrilled to announce several exciting developments. Following the successful upgrade of the East Flatbush classrooms just two years ago, the same level of renovation has now been completed at the Eastern Parkway site. The newly revamped and upgraded classrooms offer a warm, clean, and coordinated atmosphere, complete with new furniture and state-of-the-art play centers that are sure to ignite the joy and creativity of each child. In response to the ever-growing needs of the Crown Heights community, we are also pleased to announce the addition of an extra class, allowing us to accommodate even more families.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to those who made these beautiful upgrades possible:
- Rabbi Mendel Blau, the Rosh Moissed of Oholei Torah, for his innovative leadership, which consistently strives for excellence and nurtures a growth mindset in all facets of our expansive flagship Moissed.
- R’ Shmeilach Rosenfeld, of Oholei Torah operations, who expertly oversaw the entire remodeling process, ensuring that every detail was executed flawlessly.
- Morah Rishi Bendet, Oholei Torah’s highly regarded preschool director, whose vision and leadership were pivotal in driving this project forward.
- Mrs. Rochel Abelsky, head of Yeled V’Yalda Head Start, for her unwavering commitment to ensuring excellence throughout the process.
- Reb Mordechai Schwartz, the esteemed CEO of Yeled V’Yalda, for his dedication to maintaining Yeled-affiliated preschool centers at the forefront of early childhood education, ensuring the best for our children.
- Ms. Shaina Rosenfeld & Ms. Chaya Zeiler, who led the service team at Oholei Torah, carefully tending to every detail of the summer renovations while simultaneously ensuring the smooth operation of the large-scale summer Kiddie Camp and Yeshivas Kayitz.
Oholei Torah is excited for the year ahead and, B’Ezras Hashem, looks forward to hearing the aleph bais, the brochos, and the songs, and seeing the smiles of our precious little ones as they embark on this new chapter.
