Ohio Governor Celebrates Chanukah with Cincinnati Rosh Yeshiva

On the fourth day of Chanukah, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine hosted the state’s annual Chanukah party, welcoming Rabbi Gershon Avton, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Lubavitch Cincinnati, along with Yaldei Hashluchim, in a warm display of support for Ohio’s Jewish community.

On Thursday, the fourth day of Chanukah, the office of Mr. Mike DeWine, the governor of Ohio, hosted its annual Chanukah party. They invited Rabbi Gershon Avtzon, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Lubavitch Cincinnati, to address the crowd and to speak about the history of Chanukah and the lessons to be learned from it.

Rabbi Avtzon was joined by a group of Yaldei Hashluchim that played music and sang Chanukah songs for all.

Governor DeWine then called the group to his personal office to show his support for the Jewish communities of Ohio.
