A new Torah was concluded on Sunday in Crown Heights and welcomed into Shain’s Shul on Kingston Avenue with music, dancing, and the traditional hakafos.
The Torah was dedicated by Crown Heights resident Ouriel Corcos for a refuah shleima for his family members.
Friends and family gathered in Rubashkin’s house for the writing of the final letters, followed by a parade with music towards Shain’s Shul on Kingston Ave. between Montgomery and Crown Streets, where hakafos were held.
The crowd then returned to Rubashkin’s for a a seudas mitzvah and a farbrengen.
