New Shluchim to Issaquah, Washington

Rabbi Shneur and Sheina Matusof (nee Golomb) will be moving out on Shlichus to Issaquah, Washington to serve the needs of the growing Jewish community.

Rabbi Shneur and Sheina Matusof (nee Golomb) have been appointed as new Chabad Shluchim to Issaquah, Washington.

The Matusofs will serve as Chabad’s new Program Directors, they will innovate and expand the Smile on Seniors Programs, opportunities for teen engagement, Holiday Events as well as the Gan Izzy summer day camp.

The couple has extensive professional experience in serving the younger segments of today’s Jews, they will be joining Chabad of Central Cascades, to support and invigorate the existing community infrastructure.

The new shluchim were appointed by and will work alongside Rabbi Berry and Nechama Farkash, who founded Chabad of the Central Cascades, 15 years ago.

Sheina spent three years as a mother figure in a Ukraine orphanage working with at-risk children and Shneur has worked with youth in various capacities. Both grew up as Chabad shluchim; Shneur at Chabad in Madison Wisconsin and Sheina in Sheffield, England.

“We are honored that they chose our community to fulfill their life mission set forth by our Rebbe. They bring the skills creativity, knowledge, and warmth needed to connect with Jews of all ages,” Rabbi Farkash said.
