Rabbi Mendel and Mushka (nee Chein) Vilenkin, and their daughter Tzivia Miriam, have moved on shlichus to Didsbury, a suburb of Manchester, England, where they will serve Jews living in Didsbury, Withington, Chorlton, and parts of Fallowfield.
In an exciting development for the Jewish community in Didsbury, UK, Rabbi Mendel and Mushka (nee Chein) Vilenkin have arrived in the area, marking the beginning of a new era of Jewish outreach and engagement. The young couple, accompanied by their baby Tzivia Miriam, will be serving as the new Chabad Shluchim to Didsbury, Withington, Chorlton, and parts of Fallowfield.
The Vilenkins’ arrival is met with great enthusiasm by local community members, who are eager to benefit from their warmth, energy, and dedication to Jewish life.
To kickstart their Shlichus, the Vilenkins are launching a Mivtza Matzah campaign, aiming to deliver matzah and share the joy of Passover with Jews across the region. This initiative is just the beginning of their efforts to build a vibrant and inclusive Jewish community.
To support their Shlichus and vital work, the Vilenkins have launched a Charidy campaign, inviting community members and friends to partner with them and donate generously. This campaign will enable the couple to establish a strong foundation for their Shlichus and provide essential resources for their various projects and initiatives.
“We are thrilled to join the Didsbury community and embark on this incredible journey,” said Rabbi Mendel Vilenkin. “We look forward to meeting and connecting with everyone, and we invite you to partner with us in building a thriving Jewish community.”
Mushka Vilenkin added, “We’re excited to share our passion for Jewish life and learning with the community. Our door is always open, and we can’t wait to welcome you in!”
