Rabbi Velvil and Estie Kahanov (nee Brackman) have been appointed by Rabbi Yosef and Rivkie Kahanov as Shluchim to Jacksonville, FL, to serve the local Jewish community.
Rabbi Velvil and Estie will work alongside their parents, Rabbi Yosef and Rivkie Kahanov, head Shluchim to North East Florida who have built and served the greater Jacksonville community for over 30 years. They have created a Chabad community that radiates warmth and inclusivity, offering a range of programs for Jews of all backgrounds.
Rabbi Velvil and Estie will assist in expanding Chabad’s work. They look forward to hosting vibrant events, educational programs, and outreach initiatives that foster a strong sense of community and Jewish identity.
Rabbi Velvil was born and raised on Shlichus, and has been assisting the community, demonstrating passion towards promoting growth. He is extremely enthusiastic about formally moving to continue the Shichus he has begun.
Estie, also born and raised on Shlichus in Hyde Park, IL at the University of Chicago. She is excited to join the community, form personal connections, and coordinate Chabad programs.
