Just 35 minutes west of Phoenix, the fast-growing city of Buckeye, Arizona — now home to over 100,000 residents — is welcoming something new: its very own Chabad center.

This summer, Rabbi Mendy and Shterna Goldstein launched Chabad of Buckeye to serve the city’s estimated 1,000 Jews — many of whom have been waiting for a sense of connection and Jewish life close to home.

“We’ve already connected with about 50 families in person,” says Goldstein. “People here are excited. They’ve been telling us they were waiting for something like this — and now, it’s finally happening.”

With the High Holidays around the corner, Chabad of Buckeye is preparing for its first few major events, including High Holiday services, Shofar in the Park, and holiday dinners from Rosh Hashanah through Sukkot.

As one of Arizona’s fastest-growing cities, Buckeye attracts new residents with its affordable housing, quality of life, and convenient location. Chabad of Buckeye is here to serve this expanding Jewish community by offering services, events, and a welcoming place to experience Jewish life.
