Even a rise in covid cases can’t stop Shluchim everywhere from bringing the warmth of Yiddishkeit straight to the people. With in person events and Shul on Shabbos out of the current picture, Shluchim are well experienced in packing up and heading out for Challah and Shabbos package deliveries to community members who are stuck at home.
There’s more to Shabbos than Challah and chicken soup. When looking to deliver beyond just the taste of Shabbos that these traditional foods offer, Shluchim have but to turn to JLI’s new Shabbat Handbooks.
“Over 100,000 copies of our Chanukah Handbooks alone were printed and delivered to Yidden worldwide,” says Rabbi Shlomie Tenenbaum of JLI. After that success, JLI is now partnering with Shluchim to create a Shabbos experience like no other – the latest in the Holiday Guide series – the Shabbat Handbook.
With beautifully designed spreads on Shabbos customs, history, and messages, a step by step practical guide to a meaningful at-home Shabbos experience, and a helpful selection of Friday night liturgy, these booklets will ensure that balei batim can experience Shabbos as if they were sitting at the Shliach’s own table.
Whether a Shliach wants to upgrade his Shabbos packages, or infuse meaningful structure into a Friday night program or Shabbaton, the booklets are customizable for each Mosad, and include a personalized letter from the Shliach, the logo and a full year of Shabbos times for the location.
