For the first time in decades, construction has begun on a new men’s mikvah in New Haven, Connecticut.

The new mikvah is being built in the same building as the Chabad shul for Hebrew speakers and the JIC Center for Chesed, established by Rabbi Eli Raskin. It is being dedicated in memory of the bochur, Raphael Zohar HY”D, through a donation by his brother, Eliyahu Pinchas Zohar.

The mikvah is being designed by the renowned mikvah expert, Rabbi Gershon Grossbaum, with the concrete pouring supervised by Rabbi Schneur Zalman Kessler, Rosh Kolel in New Haven.
