New Halachic Guide Covers Pregnancy Loss

With Love, a Crown Heights based organization that supports women and their families through a miscarriage, has collaborated with Mikvah.org to publish a halachic guide for pregnancy loss.

In response to a woman reaching out, this project was launched  by Mrs. Sara Morozow, a senior kallah teacher at Mikvah.org and a panelist on the With Love Q&A Forum. The team recognized the great need for halachic guidance during this time of crisis,  as many women had questions regarding pregnancy loss and didn’t know whom to ask or weren’t aware that their situation required halachic guidance. The guide was written by HaRav Tuvia Kasimov and was reviewed by HaRav S.B. Chaikin and HaRav Y. Braun.

Aside from answering the various queries that may come up during pregnancy loss, this booklet includes a list of resources of the various organizations where one can get additional support.

This booklet is available at the Mikvah.org office and online in a downloadable PDF version at Mikvah.org/loss. It is also included in With Love’s gift package which can be requested online at WithLoveNY.org/ourservices.

This halachic guide is With Love’s most recent initiative. The other services they provide include home-cooked meals, a gift package, a manicure to a salon of choice and a toy package for children at home. Additionally, they offer emotional guidance from those who experienced loss themselves, and support for the husband. Moreover, there is a Q &A forum displayed on their website answering commonly asked questions during a miscarriage.

While we hope this booklet and resources reach those in need, we also pray for the day it will no longer be needed.
