On Motzoei Shabbos, just days before Rosh Hashanah, a distinguished Chag HaSmicha celebration took place at Colel Ohel Yosef Moshe in Buenos Aires. The graduates of the Smicha program were honored in the presence of Rabbonim of the local Kehilla, family members, and community participants.

The program, directed by Rabbi Mendy Raijer and accompanied by Rabbi Efraim Halperin, Rav and Moré Hora’ah of the Anash Kehilla in Buenos Aires, is hosted at Colel Ohel Yosef Moshe under the auspices of Reb Chaim Lapidus, who was also present at the event and received special thanks. This unique Machon Smicha offers shiurim in Spanish and provides personalized guidance to help each student achieve this important milestone.

In addition to words of blessing and encouragement from the Rabbonim, the graduates themselves shared Torah insights and concepts studied throughout the year, applying them to Avodas Hashem in daily life.

Among the Rabbonim in attendance were Rabbi Efraim Halperin, Rabbi Dovid Plotka (Rav and More Hora’ah, Shliach of Chabad of Flores), Rabbi Osher Farkash (Mashpia at the Yeshiva), Rabbi Sholom Boruch Lapidus, and Rabbi Mendel Gorowitz.

The Smicha graduates are Hatomim Avrohom Dovid Gorowitz, Dovid Posternak, Eliahu Steinberg, Mordejai Rosa, Eli and Ari Litman, Meir Moshe Zembrovsky, and Reb Nathan Goldwasser. A special recognition was given to Reb Itzjok Vodovosoff, who — despite being an adult and a working professional — devoted himself to Torah study with the dedication of a young bochur. He set aside every morning throughout the year to learn, successfully completing all the Semicha exams. His commitment stands as a true example to follow.
