In honor of Yom Kippur, ba’al menagen Rabbi Menachem Amar released a single containing the moving niggun “Ata Hivdalta” from Neila prayer.

The niggun was originally composed by renowned chazzan David Roitman as a “chazanus shtikel”. Rabbi Shmuel Betzalel Althaus heard the niggun, and after making slight changes, he added it to his repertoire of niggunim. It was later printed as Niggun 249 in Sefer Niggunim, and is now sung by Lubavitcher Chazzanim around the world.

The song is a release from the upcoming album ‘Gaaguim 5’, an album of Chasidic melodies in the authentic style of yesteryear.

The first four albums can be streamed free on Chabad.org.
