Neshamos to Host Suicide Prevention Training in Crown Heights

On March 14-15, Neshamos in partnerships with the Suicide Prevention Center of New York will be holding a two day suicide intervention in-person training in Crown Heights.

Seeking sensitive, caring adults with tough resolve to take part in a training to intervene in active suicide situations. No prior qualifications necessary.

On March 14-15, Neshamos in partnerships with the Suicide Prevention Center of New York will be holding a two day suicide intervention in-person training in Crown Heights. 

ASIST by Livingworks is a two-day, in-person workshop which features powerful audiovisuals, discussions, and simulations. At this workshop, you’ll learn how stop a suicide in its tracks by recognizing signs, providing a skilled intervention, and developing a safety plan to keep someone alive. Two knowledgeable, supportive trainers will guide you through the course, ensuring your comfort and safety.

This workshop is open to any individual interested in supporting individuals with suicide ideation and active suicide plans. No previous knowledge or accreditation is necessary to attend. Additionally we welcome medical professionals and mental health professionals to join this unique two-day seminar. The 2-day seminar counts for contact hours for social workers and mental health counselors.
