MyShliach Yeshivas Kayitz UK Wraps Up Exciting Week

After Learning together all year virtually, the young shluchim in the European online school enjoy an in-person camp for the first time ever.

MyShliach Yeshivas Kayitz UK, a unique summer camp designed for the children of Shluchim who study online, has successfully concluded its exhilarating first week. The camp, being held in the picturesque surroundings of Wales, UK, is a first of its kind, providing an ideal setting for a summer of learning, fun, and building lasting friendships.

The Yeshivas Kayitz was spearheaded by Rabbi Yossi and Rivky Cheruff, Shluchim in Birmingham, UK and Rabbi Eli and Freidy Brackman, Shluchim in Oxford, UK, as a response to the need for an in-person camp experience for young Shluchim in Europe who follow the US school year schedule. The program aims to create a perfect blend of both learning and preparing for yeshiva, as well as activities throughout the day.

Under the guidance of dedicated counselors and Maggidei Shiurim: Zalman Pape, Yankel Brown, Avremi Reinitz, and Avi Metzger, the young Shluchim are growing in their Torah knowledge and Chassidishkeit.  A new curriculum created by the MyShliach team at Merkos 302 is being used for the first time this summer. Carefully tailored for this specific age group, the curriculum encompasses various subjects, including Meseches Tamid, the intricacies of the Beis Hamikdash, Halacha, and Chassidus.

After a complete morning seder with learning and davening, the afternoons were packed with exciting trips and outdoor adventures, allowing the children to explore the beauty and sites of the local area.

As the first week came to an end, Rabbi Zalmy Weingarten, director of the Yeshivas Kayitz, reflected on the accomplishments achieved in such a short time.

“The young Shluchim have not only exhibited an excitement in their learning, but had also formed deep connections with fellow campers hailing from different parts of Europe. The bonds they continue to forge will undoubtedly endure beyond the summer.”

With two more weeks to go, MyShliach Yeshivas Kayitz UK looks forward to continuing to provide an amazing summer for the young Shluchim. With each passing day, the campers continue to embrace the opportunity to learn, grow, and create lifelong memories.
