Mrs. Rochel Reini, matriarch of a respected Chabad family in Yerushalayim and later Ramat Beit Shemesh, passed away on Wednesday, leaving behind a generation of children and Shluchim.
Mrs. Rochel Reini, matriarch of a respected Chabad family in Yerushalayim and later Ramat Beit Shemesh, passed away on Wednesday, leaving behind a generation of children and Shluchim.
She was the wife of the noted Chossid, Rabbi Boruch Tzvi Reinitz AH. Her husband, who was born in Debrecen, Hungary, made aliya to Eretz Yisroel in 1934 and settled in the Batei Ungarin neighborhood. In the early 1950s, he was drawn to Chabad by his brother R’ Yaakov Reinitz, and became a devoted Chossid and mekushar of the Rebbe. He was a well-known figure in Meah Shearim and a regular mispallel at the Tzemach Tzedek Shul in the Old City of Yerushalayim.
In their later years, the couple moved to Ramat Beit Shemesh Beis.
She is survived by their children: Aron Reinitz – Eretz Yisroel, Ayala Cohen – Tel Tzion, Levi Reinitz – Tzfas, Yonason Reinitz – New Haven, CT, Rivka Spielman – Crown Heights, Tzippy Simon – Crown Heights, and Yossie Reinitz – Toronto.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rabbi Boruch Tzvi Reinitz, in 5760.
The levaya took place on Wednesday in Yerushalayim, with kevura on Har Menuchos.

Her daughters, Mrs. Rivka Spielman and Mrs. Tzippy Simon, will sit Shiva in Crown Heights on Monday only, at 698 Rutland Road (between Albany and Troy Aves). Hours: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, and 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
