This past weekend, talmidim of Cheder Menachem of Moscow embarked on a special journey to Kostroma, Russia.
As part of the trip, the students visited the historic train station where the Frierdiker Rebbe arrived during his exile in Kostroma. They also toured the building and balcony where the Frierdiker Rebbe received the news of his final liberation on Yud-Beis Tammuz.
In addition to the historical tours, the students enjoyed a variety of attractions and experiences. These included a visit to a large linen fabric factory, swimming, laser tag, a zoo, and various parks throughout the city. These activities were meticulously planned by their teacher, Rabbi Avremi Zaks.
Rabbi Nissan Rufu, the Rebbe’s shliach and the rabbi of Kostroma, expertly oversaw the tours, meals, and accommodations.
Joining the trip were the dedicated bochurim shluchim from Cheder Menachem Moscow, Levi Dahan and Shalom Orian, who added to the experience by farbrenging and providing an engaging program throughout the extended Shabbos.
