In the suburbs of Moscow, Yeshiva Ketana “Tomchei Tmimim” of Istra celebrated the completion of Mivtza Torah that was run by the students of Shiur Gimmel under ATO.
The mivtza had participants learn additional material outside of their regular classes according to various “tracks” that were suggested to them. Now they were able to enjoy the fruits of their labor, as they gathered for a kinus Hakhel and siyum to celebrate their many hours of hard work and Torah study during their free time.
The event was graced by the presence of the esteemed Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Moshe Lerman, who is well known for his devotion to each and every student, the yeshiva’s Mashpiim Rabbi Menachem Mendel Wilansky and Rabbi Chonon Teichtel, as well the Mashgiach Rabbi Yonason Chaim Weiss.
Special greetings were sent by the founder of the Yeshiva, Chief Rabbi of Russia Berel Lazar, and by the Head Mashpia of the Central Tomchei Tmimim Yeshiva Rabbi Shlomo Zarchi.
Special gifts were presented to the boys at the celebration, and raffles were held on large sets of seforim amongst the highest achievers. The books were all generously donated by Mr. Dan Galkin who dedicated them in loving memory of his mother Dina bas Reb Velvel a”h.
