Why did Hashem create this vast world — and why send your neshamah down into it with real struggles?

Chabad.org is launching a new four-week online course titled “The Reason: Why G-d Created You (and Everything Else).” The series will explore one of the central themes of Chassidus: the Divine purpose behind creation, and what that means for each of us personally.

In a world that can feel both overwhelmingly large and intensely challenging, the course addresses a fundamental question: What is the purpose of it all, and how does my life fit into that picture?

Drawing on Tanya and classic Chabad teachings, the series will examine:

• Why the soul’s descent into this world involves struggle
• What Hashem wants from the physical world
• How ordinary actions become part of something holy
• Why the path to Geulah begins with individual avodah

The course will be presented by Rabbi Naftoli Hertz Pewzner, instructor of Chassidic thought at the Rabbinical College of America in Morristown and co-author of The Basics of Chassidus series. Known for his clear and structured approach, Rabbi Pewzner brings depth without losing accessibility.
