Talmidim at YTTL Montreal celebrated Hey Teves with a creative and engaging mock courthouse presenting the case for why the seforim should be returned to 770 and a seforim scavenger hunt exploring various seforim, enriching their knowledge and appreciation for Toras Hachassidus.
Hey Teves was celebrated with boundless excitement at Yeshiva for Hey Teves! The third-floor hallways reverberated with the spirited sounds of “Didan Notzach,” as many talmidim sang along joyfully while walking to their classes. The atmosphere was alive with energy and unity.
In Kita 4A, a creative and engaging mock courthouse captivated the younger classes. Kitta Daled students took on the roles of lawyers, passionately presenting the case for why the sefarim should be returned to 770. The judges were ultimately convinced, Baruch Hashem, and their verdict of “Didan Natzach” was met with jubilant dancing by the talmidim.
For the older grades (grades 2-7), a sefarim scavenger hunt took place in the shul downstairs. Rabbi Scheiner’s class lent a helping hand to the younger boys, assisting them in reading and solving the riddles. This special activity offered the students a meaningful opportunity to explore various types of sefarim, enriching their knowledge and appreciation for Toras Hachassidus.
As an added incentive, boys who found the most answers in the scavenger hunt will, im yirtzeh Hashem, receive a gift certificate to Pardes bookstore—a fitting reward for their efforts and enthusiasm.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Rabbi Bresinger, who selflessly dedicated his time and energy to organizing this incredible day of celebration and learning. His commitment ensured that the spirit of Hey Teves was brought to life in a meaningful and joyous way for all the talmidim.
