Monsey Students Hear Stories of the Rebbetzin’s Life

Students at Cheder Chabad of Monsey marked the Rebbetzin’s yahrzeit with programs for all grades, where they heard stories about the Rebbe and Rebbetzin, sang niggunim, and watched videos of the Rebbe.

Chof Beis Shevat marked the initiation of the Purim segment of Connection Point. Talmidim in grades 5-8 participated in watching a rally of the Rebbe interspersed with questions that they could answer on an answer sheet which were later entered into a raffle. Dovi Borenstein was the lucky winner of the grand prize.

Rabbi Shimon Kroll farbrenged with the 7th and 8th Grade students sharing highlights of his story that leads all the way from the US army to living in the home directly behind the Rebbe’s house! He spoke about his first yechidus with the Rebbe fascinating the students.

Rabbi Shlomo Segelman, who is a grandchild by the marriage of Rabbi Zalman Jaffe, shared some precious tidbits about the Rebbe and Rebbetzin that circulate in the family. Rabbi Segelman farbrenged for the grades 1-5 and also played several stirring chassidishe melodies on his violin, inspiring the talmidim to sing along and be uplifted.
