Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch Queens celebrated a joyous Siyum marking the completion of a rigorous sugya in Gemara L’Iyun with Rishonim. The celebration also launched an intense period of Chazara so the Tmimim can approach Zman Cheiruseinu and Yud Alef Nissan with Talmudam B’Yadam, fully fluent in the entire perek they learned B’Iyun.
In a Freiliche celebration of Torah accomplishment, YTTL Queens held a special Yeshiva-Wide Siyum and Seudas Mitzva. This momentous occasion was hosted by the esteemed Iyun Magidei Shiurim: Rabbi Zalman Mergui, Rabbi Meir Shloma Pape, Rabbi Motti Perlaw, and Rabbi Benyomin Kreigsman, marking the completion of the entire “HoIsha SheNisarmela” L’iyun with Rishonim, a milestone not reached every zman.
A special highlight of the evening was guest speaker, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hakohen Blau, Rosh Mosad of Oholei Torah Crown Heights. His inspiring words about Shkida V’Hasmada, he learnt from Rabbi Geisinski, and the very special approach learnt from the discussion in the Perek on “Ein Eid Naase Dayan” and its implications in Avodes Hashem left a lasting impact on all! Motivating them to continue their Limud Hatorah Torah with passion and dedication.
In attendance were Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Sholom Dovid Geisinski and Menahel Rabbi Yossi Hendel, whose leadership fosters the Yeshiva’s Limud Hatorah excellence. Rabbi Mendel Yusewitz of the Vaad emceed the event, adding practical guidance for Chazara, and Nekudos connected to Yom Tov.
The siyum timing was also special, with a short week and a half before Bein Hazmanim, the celebration also marked the beginning of intense period of Chazara, so the Tmimim come to Zman Cheiruseinu and Yud Alef Nissan with “Talmudam B’Yadam” – mastering and fluent in the entire Perek they learned L’iyuna.
This strategic timing allowed the students to capitalize on their momentum, as the students threw themselves into reviewing the material achieving mastery over the complete Perek.
