Just two months after Mitzvah Tank NYC was vandalized with pro-Palestinian graffiti, it was vandalized a second time at the same location.
Mitzvah Tank NYC offers Jewish people the opportunity to perform a mitzvah on the go. In addition, the Mitzvah Tanks have become involved with volunteer work with those less fortunate, including the large homeless population whom they have come to befriend over the years.
On October 30th, 2022, the Mitzvah Tank, parked in the heart of SOHO on Broadway, was defaced with pro-Palestinian graffiti.
This past Friday, the Mitzvah Tank was once again vandalized, with the word “Palestine” scrawled across its exterior.
“Our Mitzvah Tank was once again hatefully vandalized. Same location (Manhattan’s busiest traffic corridor). NYPD detectives are investigating and we hope that this case is taken very seriously,” Rabbi Yehuda Pevzner, director of Mitzvah Tank NYC wrote on Twitter.
“Our response to this hate will be to add in more goodness and kindness, preparing the world for Moshiach,” he told Anash.org.
