The management of Mikvah Meir have announced that, after a pause of over a year, the monthly tags will be reinstated for current tag holders.

As anyone who operates a Mikvah knows, the maintenance and care required to keep it nice is ongoing. That is especially true when the mikvah is a beautiful one, with high standards of quality and cleanliness. When the mikvah is in a high traffic area, the challenge becomes even greater.

To cover the high costs of running their beautiful facilities, Mikvah Meir has set up a system for convenient and efficient membership payments, with turnstiles, entry-pass tags and tag refill machines.

Covid has brought many changes to our lives and among the lingering after-effects was the pause on monthly memberships and tag access at Mikvah Meir. Toivelers had to pay per use instead. Now, in a welcome step back to pre-covid times, the management has announced that monthly memberships will be reinstated for current tag holders as of Elul 2, 5781.

Only one small variation has been noted – the price has gone up from $55 per month to $75. Still a good deal for a hot clean mikvah and fresh towel in Crown Heights! The price for an one-time use, however, whether on a weekday or on Erev Shabbos, was not changed.

The management wrote that for the time being, no new tags will be issued, and that discounted cash tags will no longer be in use.
