After many months of planning and building, the first Chabad mikva in Haifa, Israel is about to be completed, in honor of the 3rd yahrzeit of Rabbi Sholom Dov Ber Hakohen Gutnick.

Close to 30,000 Jewish families live in Merkaz HaCarmel a neighborhood and cultural area in Haifa, and until now there has been no Chabad mikva in the entire area.

The mikva was generously sponsored by philanthropists Rabbi Meyer and Shaindy Gutnick of Crown Heights, in honor of the yahrzeit of his father, Reb Sholom Dovber Gutnick a”h, on Chof-Hey Iyar.

The mikveh was magnificently built, befitting for the character of the prestigious area in Carmel.
