Mesivta Ohr Temimim Lubavitch of Toronto Welcomes New Torah

After being delayed for over a year due to covid restrictions, Mesivta Ohr Temimim Lubavitch of Toronto welcomed its second Sefer Torah in a joyous ceremony with the participation of local rabbonim and shluchim.

It was with tremendous joy, dancing, and great emotion that Mesivta Ohr Temimim Lubavitch welcomed its second Sefer Torah.

While the Torah has been ready for over a year, due to the Covid restrictions a Hachnasas and Siyum Sefer Torah was not possible until recently.

The new Sefer Torah was generously donated by the Rosenzweig family in honor of their parents Reb Moshe and Fay Rosenzweig z”l, and Reb Dovid Rosenzweig z”l.

After completing the letters at the Rosenzweig home, a large crowd danced enthusiastically with the Torah to 770 Chabad Gate where Rabbi Baruch Zaltzman, Dean of the Mesivta led the Hakafos and Ata Horaisa.

From Chabad Gate the Torah was escorted with more dancing to its new home Ohr Temimim Lubavitch followed by a delicious Seudas Mitzva for the Bochurim joined by the Hanhala members, Rabbi Eliezer Posner, Menahel of the yeshiva, Rabbi Menachem Shusterman Rabbi Mendel Landa, magidei shiur and mashpi’im.

The event was attended by many local Rabbonim and Shluchim. Divrei Bracha were delivered by The Toronto Bobov Rosh Kolel, HaRav Shia Firer shlita as well as Rosh Mesivta Rabbi Zaltzman.

The celebration infused the bochurim with an added measure of dedication and joy in their Limud HaTorah.
