Students of Oholei Torah Mesivta marked the one-year yahrzeit of the school’s longtime menahel Rabbi Zushe Wilhelm with an uplifting Kinus.
Rabbi Nachman Yosef Twerski, a longtime maggid shiur in the mesivta, shared warm memories of Rabbi Wilhelm’s intense koch in Limmud HaTorah, which he imparted to bochurim. He shared how Rabbi Wilhelm took great interest in the physical well-being of the talmidim making sure they had all their material needs.
Rabbi Zalman Baumgarten, who was a classmate of Rabbi Wilhelm, recalled his great hasmada in Limmud HaTorah, combined with an always pleasant and friendly demeanor. He also spoke of his utmost devotion to the Rebbe’s shlichus.
Rabbi Zalman Lipsker spoke about v’hachai yiten el libo and how the bochurim can learn from Rabbi Wilhelm and grow in their hasmada and love for Torah.
Other speakers told of Rabbi Wilhelm’s legendary passion for learning and disseminating Torah, and how he was a living example of love for Torah and Chassidus for thousands of students.
