He was 24 years old.
Mendy was involved in a traffic accident near the city of Naharia shortly before Shabbos. Paramedics who arrived at the scene did their utmost, but were forced to determine his death at the scene.
The levaya took place on Monday, the first day of Chol Hamoed in Eretz Yisroel.
