How often do we think about the Rebbe’s letter that is read under our Chupah? That was the question that weighed on the mind of Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Hodakov, a mechanech in Coral Springs, Florida.
In honor of his daughter’s wedding, he composed a new song based on this letter that is traditionally read under the chuppah. His hope is that these words will not only be heard once as a greeting during the wedding, but that everyone will keep them in mind and find success through them.
“In addition to being a bracha,” Rabbi Hodakov told Anash.org, “I believe these words are instructive. They contain the key to a successful marriage and serve as guidance and a foundation for life. With Hashem’s help, as the Rebbe blesses us, we build a Jewish home on the foundations of Torah and mitzvos, illuminated by the teachings of Chassidus.”
“Imagine if, in every situation life brings, we would return to this foundation and ask ourselves: What does Torah dictate here? What is expected of a Chossid in this case? And then act accordingly.”
