The bochurim of Kollel Tiferet Menachem- Bais Medrash LeHora’ah were successfully tested on the first portion of semicha by Chicago Rav, Rabbi Boruch Hertz.
A momentous occasion took place this week for students at Kollel Tiferet Menachem – Bais Medrash LeHora’ah, as they completed their first farher. The examination covered bBasar Bechalav and sections of Hilchos Shabbos, including bishul, shehiya, chazara, and hatmanah.
Under the guidance of Rosh HaKollel Rabbi Dovid Schmukler, who provides daily shiurim and general hadracha in learning, students immersed themselves in study and preparation. The bochurim were tested by Rabbi Baruch Hertz, Rov of the Chabad community and Congregation B’nei Ruven in Chicago, who also led an inspirational farbrengen, offering wisdom and encouragement for their continued learning and spiritual growth as Chasidim.
As is well known, Kollel Tiferet Menachem has produced genuine rabbonim, dayonim and roshei kollel, as well as many shluchim. The comprehensive curriculum includes in-depth study of halacha with daily lectures from Rabbi Schmukler, regular lessons in Chasidus with renowned Mashpia and author Rabbi Tzvi Freeman, and night sessions in Chassidus with Rabbi Schmukler. Rabbi Mendel Lieberman serves as Sho’el UMaishiv.
