Bochurim of Yeshiva Gedola of London took a meaningful and invigorating mid-year trip to Hungary, spending three days immersed in learning, relaxation and inspiration.

A group of forty bochurim and shluchim set out from yeshiva on Monday, making their way via bus to the airport before flying to Budapest. Upon arrival, they traveled to the scenic Balaton Lake, where they stayed at a resort that served as their base for the trip.

The program included visits to the historic Jewish sites of Budapest, including the Shoes on the Danube, the museum at Shul on the Castle Hill, and the Chabad House of Rabbi Shmuel Glitzenshtein.

Accompanying them on the trip was yeshiva maggid shiur Rabbi Leibish Heller, who delivered shiurim and led farbrengens throughout the trip, making it a chassidishe experience. For the three days they were there, they learned a different sugya of kibbud av v’aim from the Gemara to the Halacha.

The journey provided the bochurim with a much-needed change of pace and infused their learning and friendships with renewed enthusiasm. As they returned to yeshiva on Thursday, their spirits were uplifted, ready to continue their studies with added geshmak and dedication.
