Lyrics:

The school bell gives a ring

At the end of a long day

Mottel takes his bag

and heads off on his way.

He listened well in school

and goes home to have fun,

successful time in class,

yet something still seems wrong.

From the corner of his eye

he noticed Levi on the side

Sefer hamitzvos in his hand

He needs to understand.

Levi is it possible

that all I lack is this small key,

to change my whole approach in life,

and be all I can be.

CHORUS:1

“The Rebbe’s way, the Rebbe’s path

I’m guided by our special tasks

I’ll follow them and never stray

The Rebbe paves the way.”

בדרכיו—instructions clear

הורָנו so I’ll hold them dear

we own a treasure that’s so vast

the Rebbe’s golden path

Takanos that I’ll keep,

no matter where or when

the Rebbe’s call I’ll heed

I’ll never stray or bend.

I’ll love my fellow Jew,

teach him Torah too,

Reaching every soul

And Fulfill the Rebbe’s goal.

I won’t miss my daily mitzvah,

I will Daven with Kavanah,

I will be nice to my friends,

With joy I’ll serve Hashem.

My Rebbe I will watch and see

To learn what he expects of me

From this golus to break free

And be all I can be

CHORUS:2

The Rebbe’s way, the Rebbe’s path

We’re guided by our special tasks

we’ll follow them and never stray

The Rebbe paves the way.

בדרכיו, instructions clear

הורָנו, so we’ll hold them dear

נצח סלה ועד—

it’s stronger every year.

CHORUS:1

CHORUS:2
