The levaya for longtime shlucha to Tunisia, Rebbetzin Rochel Pinson, wife of Rabbi Nissan Pinson, and one of the pillars of the Chabad emissary in North Africa, took place on Wednesday in Paris, France, on the way to Eretz Yisroel.

Mrs. Pinson, who, along with her husband, played a fundamental role in building and strengthening Chabad activities and Jewish education throughout North Africa, passed away Tuesday evening, the 17th of Shevat, at the age of 102.

She was preceded in passing by her husband, Rabbi Nissan Pinson, who passed away on 24 Kislev 5768.

She is survived by her children: Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Pinson, shliach in Nice, France – Rabbi Nochum Pinson, shliach in Brunoy, France – Rabbi Shmuel Pinson, shliach in Brussels, Belgium – Mrs. Faigy Hecht, shlucha in S.-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, France – Mrs. Tscherna Matusof, shlucha in Cannes, France.
