The Houston community celebrated Yud Tes Kislev with farbrengens featuring guest speakers and unique musical performances.

At Chabad Uptown, Rabbi Chaim Lazaroff hosted a musical farbrengen. Members of the Houston Symphony, Sergei Galperin (violin) and Sasha Potiomkin (clarinet), accompanied the evening with stirring niggunim.

Addressing the crowd, Galperin shared that playing at a Chassidic event held special meaning for him: He is a great-nephew of the legendary askan R’ Mordechai Dubin, who was instrumental in the Frierdiker Rebbe’s liberation.

At the Texas Regional Headquarters – Chabad Lubavitch Center, Anash gathered for a central Seudas Mitzvah and Farbrengen. The crowd was addressed by guest speaker Rabbi Efraim Mintz, Executive Director of JLI, who flew in for the occasion.

Head Shliach Rabbi Shimon Lazaroff attended both events, speaking about the significance of the day and encouraging the community in the learning of Chassidus.
