The annual Charidy campaign for Keren Simchas Chosson V’Kalla widely exceeded expectations, raising the full amount in less than a third of the time.
KSCVK, lead by the indefatigable Devorah Benjamin, has helped countless chassanim and kallos for over 29 years. Currently, there are over 50 weddings in the works, and each is turning to Devorah for help and assistance.
But Devorah can’t do it alone. It will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to get these chuppahs up, and she needs our help to help them.
The annual Charidy campaign, launched today, aimed to raise $300,000 over thirty hours. Over 700 donors answered her call, and the full amount was raised in less than ten hours!
The campaign is far from over, however. A bonus round has been launched, aiming to raise another $100,000. Each dollar will go to help another chosson and kallah, each donation will give a fellow Lubavitcher the ability to make a simcha while maintaining their dignity.
