Jewish Leaders To Address World Jewry at Global Event

As Jews worldwide balance feelings of pain and love, fear and pride, a special virtual event will invigorate the global Jewish community with messages from Jewish leaders worldwide.

As Jews worldwide balance feelings of pain and love, fear and pride resulting from the vicious attacks on the Jewish people since October 7th, the global Jewish community is set to unite for an evening of hope and direction.

“Uplift! Messages of Direction and Hope,” organized by Merkos 302 at Chabad Headquarters, is scheduled for 8:00 PM tonight, Wednesday, November 15th, 2023. Streaming live on Chabad.org, the virtual gathering will invigorate the global Jewish community with messages of Jewish pride and empowerment from Jewish leaders worldwide.

The event is a testament to the enduring spirit of unity and resilience among Jews, as we’ve seen over the past six weeks of prayer, hope, and, above all, Jewish unity and pride. Hosted by Rivkah Slonim from Chabad Binghamton, NY, it will demonstrate the far-reaching impact of each individual, transcending their local community and extending all the way to Israel.

President Isaac Herzog will lend his voice to address the realities in the Holy Land, accentuating the pivotal role the global community plays in extending spiritual, emotional, and physical support. The international gathering will also hear from South African Chief Rabbi Dr. Warren Goldstein and Brazillian IDF Veteran Niky Pelosof.

“The resilience of the Jewish people is found in our global unity; our unwavering belief in the power of good over evil is our strength,” said Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice-Chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch, who will be sharing words of encouragement at the event. “Every positive thought, word, and action, no matter how small, has the potential to brighten the darkest circumstances.”

In what promises to be a riveting interview, Rabbi Levi Mendelsohn, director of Lev Chabad and Chabad’s Emergency Response in Israel, will delve into the tremendous efforts of Chabad in Israel, shedding light on the extensive charitable works, unity, and inspirational stories amidst the difficulties of the current times.

The keynote of the event, Rabbi Sholom Moshe Paltiel of Chabad of Port Washington, NY, will address the event’s theme of standing strong in unwavering Jewish pride.

Uplifting segments featuring Hebrew Day School children and powerful messages of faith from IDF soldiers on the front lines will underscore the event’s diverse representation and the indomitable spirit of hope reverberating across the Jewish people.

Arriving at a critical time, “Uplift!” will cultivate a sense of connectedness and enduring optimism among Jews worldwide. Through evoking hope, empowerment, and the collective power of good, it offers a platform for individuals to find direction and partake in a grander narrative of hope and resilience, reverberating the timeless sentiment, Am Yisrael Chai – “The People of Israel Live.”
