Ice Fall Could Not Stop Rabbi Gurary from Farbrenging

Despite a fall on ice before the farbrengen, Rabbi Nosson Gurary insisted on going ahead with the farbrengen at Beis Levi Yitzchok shul in Pomona, NY.

Despite the harsh blizzard weather, crowds came to the Yud Shevat farbrengen in Bais Levy Yitzchak of North Pomona, NY, with guest speaker, senior mashpia and longtime Buffalo shliach Rabbi Nosson Gurary, and the shul rov, Rabbi Moshe Gourarie.

Just hours before the farbrengen, during the blizzard conditions, Rabbi Gurary slipped on ice and fell, remaining on the ground for over twenty minutes until someone noticed and helped him up. Despite the fall and the difficult weather, he was determined to attend the farbrengen and arrived as planned.

Rabbi Gurary shared personal insights and stories from his father, Rabbi Zalman Gurary, who was ‘adopted’ by the Frierdiker Rebbe at age 9.
