When visiting the Museum of Jewish Heritage in Manhattan for mivtzoim, a group of bochurim from Oholei Torah met the museum’s president, who was proud to tell them of his youth in Crown Heights.

The story began approximately three months ago, the bochurim of Shiur Alef and Beis of Oholei Torah traveled to the famed Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust in Manhattan on Friday for mivtzoim.
The bochurim frequently visit the museum on Fridays, a world-renowned landmark, to give the museum workers and visitors a chance to put on tefillin.
But this time they were met with a surprise: While walking around the museum, they chanced upon Mr. Jack Kliger, the museum’s President and CEO.
When he noticed the boys, he stood up, shook their hands, and removed his suit pin saying, “I too was a bocher in Yeshiva when I was young, I too grew up in Crown Heights, on Montgomery Street.”
He then handed them his pin, saying “This pin is my work rank, and I am gifting it to you.”
Since then, a friendship has developed, between the bochurim and the president, and the bochurim frequently visit him to discuss the parsha on their weekly visits.
This past week, they decided to take their connection a step further. Knowing of the Rebbe’s call that each Yid have a letter in the Unity Sifrei Torah, they asked Mr. Kliger if he would like to acquire one for himself.
The president gladly agreed, and the bochurim helped him acquire the letter, and are looking forward to develop their connection with even more mitzvos.
