Shlichus today demands more than enthusiasm and good intentions. It calls for leadership – the kind that inspires others to grow and change from within. Whether guiding a community, working with staff, or raising a family, every shliach knows how challenging it can be to motivate people and bring out their best. That’s where The Center for Coaching and Leadership Training comes in.

The Certified Coach Training Program, founded by Rabbi Shalom Storch, PCC, offers a Torah-true framework for shluchim who want to strengthen their leadership, refine their communication, and help others achieve real, lasting change. It’s also an opportunity to build a professional coaching career, combining practical skills with a deeper sense of shlichus.

Rabbi Storch, an experienced educator and mentor with over thirty years in chinuch, explains that his journey began with a realization.

“When I stopped telling people what to do and started listening – truly listening – I saw an entirely different response. Coaching gave me the tools to help others find their own path forward, not just in theory but in practice.”

Many shluchim have already benefited from this training. Participants often describe the program as transformative – not just professionally, but personally.

“Using active listening to guide someone into coming up with their own solution has been incredibly valuable – and so much more effective than giving advice,” said H.N. “The Torah perspective tied into every step makes it that much more powerful.”

“The training helped me understand myself and others in ways that completely changed my relationships”, C.V. adds. “I learned how to create balance, handle conflict calmly, and help people move forward with clarity and confidence.”

The course is aligned with the core competencies of the International Coaching Federation, the global gold standard in the coaching world, and blends the most effective, research-based coaching techniques with authentic Torah hashkafah.

Through the program, shluchim learn how to communicate with greater clarity, inspire their teams and community members to take ownership of their growth, and lead with confidence in both public and private life. Many also find that the same tools help them connect more deeply with their own families – strengthening marriage, parenting, and even their own inner focus and simchah.

“Coaching, when done right, is completely aligned with Torah”, says Rabbi Storch. “It’s not about fixing people; it’s about helping them uncover the kochos they already have – the ones Hashem placed inside them.”

For shluchim seeking to expand their leadership, elevate their relationships, and perhaps even build a parallel coaching career rooted in Torah values, The Center for Coaching and Leadership Training offers a path that is structured, professional, and profoundly impactful.
