The Chabad community of Houston gathered on Thursday night for separate men’s and women’s programs, celebrating Chai Elul, the birthday of the Baal Shem Tov and the Alter Rebbe. Leading the farbrengen was Rabbi Mendel Block of Plano, Texas.

The Chabad community of Houston gathered on Thursday night for separate men’s and women’s programs, celebrating Chai Elul, the birthday of the Baal Shem Tov and the Alter Rebbe.

First the women gathered for their program, held at Chabad of Houston. Following their program, the men gathered for a chassidishe farbrengen, which continued for hours. Leading the farbrengen was Rabbi Mendel Block of Plano, Texas.
